John B. Foster, IV ("Johnny") serves as President of O’Gara Aviation Company, based in Atlanta, Georgia. Since 1980, O'Gara has provided aircraft brokerage, acquisition, sales, management, leasing and flight operation services to a worldwide base of clientele. In that time, O'Gara purchased and sold more than $4 billion worth of aircraft, ranging from executive Boeing 727s to Beechcraft King Air turboprops. O'Gara was formed in 1980 by John B. Foster, III and Edward F. O'Gara, Naval squadron mates in Vietnam. Johnny joined O'Gara in 1991, upon graduation from Colorado State University, and was appointed President in 2005. During his tenure, the company has purchased and sold in excess of $3 billion of business aircraft. Johnny, his father John, and brother David, all remain active in the day to day business. Aside from his position at O'Gara Aviation Company, Johnny has served on various committees and boards for both the National Aircraft Resale Association (NARA) and the Georgia Business Aviation Association (GBAA). Johnny is an active member of the Southern 7 Chapter of YPO. Johnny is married to Laura Boone Foster, a lifelong friend. They have three children. He and his family are actively involved with Holy Innocents Episcopal Church and School and all are avid outdoorsmen, enjoying hiking, skiing, running, and flying the family Cub. |
